Fisher Bullet Black Matte without Clip Ballpoint
The Fisher Space Pen was selected by NASA (after rigorous testing) for use on all manned space flights because it is the only type of pen that will write satisfactorily in the gravity-free void, freezing cold (-50F) and extreme heat (+250F) of Space. Nitrogen-powered, the ink in the replaceable Space Pen cartridge is positively fed to the tungsten carbide ball by gas at three to six times atmospheric pressure. Pressurization required the development of a new special viscoelastic (chewing gum-like) ink that is highly thixotropic, so that it will not ooze through Fisher's high precision, stainless steel point. The revolving ball liquefies the thixotropic ink, which allows the Space Pen to write smoothly and dependably on most surfaces, and even under water.

KEITH HARING, born in 1958 in Kutztown, PA, began his ten-year career as a rebellious street artist in New York City. Along with New York Icons such as Andy Warhol, Kenny Scharf, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Haring proliferated in the realm of pop-art of the 1980’s. In fact, his work is considered by many to be emblematic of popular culture of the 80’s in general. During his brief but impacting career, Haring managed to create not only a huge and diverse body of work, but a huge international following as well. His tragic death from AIDS in early 1990 was a tragedy to the art world, but was also an eye-opener for society about the harsh reality of the HIV virus.
